The Esme Bed is Roene’s first signature product, designed to redefine what a dog bed can be. Created with the belief that pets deserve the same level of care, comfort, and aesthetic consideration as the homes they live in, the Esme Bed embodies Roene’s philosophy of “designing your pet’s home within your home.”
The project began with extensive user research, including conversations with pet owners about their dogs’ sleeping habits, comfort needs, and what they look for in a bed. Many owners expressed frustration with beds that flattened quickly, clashed with their interiors, or overheated their dogs. Guided by these insights, the Esme Bed was prototyped with multi-layer Sorona filling for softness and resilience, a waterproof lining for durability, and OEKO-TEX certified cotton fabric for safety and breathability.
Designed in a butterfly-wing silhouette, the Esme Bed combines ergonomic comfort with a sculptural form that sits elegantly in any space. More than just a functional product, it reflects Roene’s vision of merging thoughtful design, high-end materials, and everyday use to create timeless essentials for pets and their owners.
